HOT PINK CLEANING SERVICES

Seeking one, self-motivated cleaner who will enjoy the variety of tasks involved in caring for rental cabins and tiny houses!

 

• Seasonal: starts July/Aug goes through Nov/Dec 2024

• 10-18 hours per week 

• 2-3 work days per week

• Start and end at Hot Pink Homestead: 161 Holly Road, Beattyville, KY 41311 (to pick up clean linens and cleaning supplies… and to drop off dirty linens and put away cleaning supplies)

• There is some flexibility in how we set up your schedule and the types of tasks you do. The goal will be to meet the most needs possible. We can discuss your scheduling availability and possible set ups during the interview!

• Pay starts at $17/hour… opportunity for $1/hour raise after the first 4 weeks

 

Example of a Possible Day

10:00AM: arrive, rotate laundry, fold clean linens, pack linen, pack cleaning tote

10:30AM: clean 1 tiny house and community bathroom at Hot Pink Homestead

11:30AM: pack linens and cleaning tote in your vehicle and drive to Timber Ridge

12:00PM: clean 1st cabin

3:00PM: clean 2nd cabin

4:30PM: drive back to Hot Pink Homestead

5:00PM: unpack cleaning tote, rotate laundry

5:30PM: done for the day

 

Qualifications

-Valid driver's license

-Reliable vehicle that is capable of driving up and down hills on gravel roads

-Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs (5 gallon water jugs, bags of trash and/or full laundry baskets of linens) up and down stairs

-Ability to follow and complete checklists

-Attention to detail

-Ability to notice and report issues

-Good time management and time tracking skills

-Clear communication

-Cleaning experience preferred 

 

Other Things to Note

-We have high standards for clean rentals and crisp linens!

-You will be trained by Rachel. Then, you will work by yourself most of the time. However, on some busier days you will work with Rachel or another cleaner. 

-3 of the cabins we clean are located about 14 miles north of Hot Pink Homestead on Timber Ridge. You will use your personal vehicle to travel there. On days you go there, you will be paid an additional $15 per trip for the use/wear and tear on your vehicle. 

-One 15 minute paid break per shift is permitted and encouraged

-All cleaning solutions, materials and tools are provided
